The blood of jesus

1. THE BLOOD GIVES US RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD THROUGH FORGIVENESS

Rev 12:10-11 "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Heb 9:22 and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Forgiveness (remission) to send away, release from bondage or imprisonment, dismissal, sending away, canceling out all judgment, punishment, debt and obligation

Rom 4:7-8 "Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him
Rom 8:1 there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus

2. THE BLOOD GIVES US ACCESS TO THE FATHER TO BE FREE AND STAY FREE

1 Jn 3:21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God

Heb 4:16 Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

There is no temptation that he will not help us to conquer

1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

In His presence he sets us free and reminds us of whose we are

John 8:34-37 "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

In his presence he restores and refreshes our souls

Ps 23:1,3 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be in want. 3 he restores my soul.

Acts 3:19-20 Repent and be converted, that your sins may be removed, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
In his presence he reminds us that our past has been removed

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
